A personal project that I'm sharing now in hopes that it'll be useful for someone. This is for the older model of Bialetti Venus 2 with plastic lid hinge (newer models use metal). Note that this is a full replacement of both the handle and the lid hinge. You can't print just one and mate it with another original part. May 2026 UpdateI added a second version with longer handle (70 mm vs the original 35 mm). Heat resistanceBear in mind that both parts will take significant heat (≈100°C) during use. Due to this plain PLA is not suitable. I used ColorFabb HT and it works fine so far. My research indicates that properly annealed PLA would work as well. The tolerances on the parts should allow for some warping but no guarantees. Printing:For hinge use supports from build plate only. For handle add manual supports for the protruding hinge mount. Assembly:Reuse the nut and screw from the old handle to connect the new one. Reuse the screw from the old lid hinge to connect the new one. To connect the handle and the lid hinge use M3x16 or M3x20 screw (longer ones will protrude). It should pass with little to no resistance through the hinge then screw into the opposite side of mount on the handle. Consider sanding the edges on the handle - they might end up quite sharp.
