This is a simple hinge that allows the filament sensor to rotate so filament can feed more smoothly. Required hardwareM3x6 bolt, x2 Longer bolts work as well, they will just stick out. I used 8mm bolts in the photo. The head doesn't matter, this will be on the inside of the printer.M3 nut, x2You will also need to re-use the two screws that attach the sensor to the printer from the factory. Before you printThere have been some reports that the filament sensor cable is not long enough to move the filament sensor away from the printer. Make sure the plug can reach at least 4cm away from the printer. The back of the sensor will come off as well, keep that in place. If you like you can remove the filament, PTFE tube and cable, but this isn't strictly necessary. Use the screws you just removed to attach the hinge to the filament sensor. Note the orientation, the side with hexagonal holes should be against the printer. Insert the nuts into the hexagonal holes and use the M3 bolts to attach it to the printer (from inside the printer). Additional notesThe hinge can rotate a bit in other axes as well, this is intentional.Newer batches of the CC have a hinge from the factory, I don't know how that is attached. If someone can provide that info, I will update the installation instructions.
