I was very surprised to find that no one has designed a good set of modular socket rails yet. I guess it's my turn to contribute to the community. As a professional, I needed these to work well. I've been thru several generations of prototypes and adjustments to get the fit and function up to a standard I was happy with. I've included three lengths of rails. All clips fit all rails, mix and match to get the storage you need. I've listed sizes in both metric and SAE. All parts print without supports. I made mine from PLA but other plastics should also work. The rails have custom brims on the ends to prevent them from warping, no additional brim is needed. The 12" (300mm) rail will fit on a mk3 bed corner to corner if you turn off the skirt. I have added magnets to the bottom of a few of my rails. However, magnets come in many sizes and shapes. The negative volume tools in Prusa Slicer enable you to add a round or rectangular hole for any size magnet to the bottom of your rail. This way you can use the magnets you already have instead of going and buying the same size ones I used. https://help.prusa3d.com/article/negative-volume_238503 Countersunk screw holes (Bounet's idea) included so these can be hung on a wall. Clips will hold even ½" deep sockets securely. Thanks goes to Antbarbato and Bounet for posting their .f3d files, which were my starting point. After remixing 209077, and a bit of testing and modification, I decided to redraw the entire set from scratch. Therefore, I have this listed as my own original design. v1 by Antbarbato www.thingiverse.com/thing:4141432 v2 by Bounet https://www.printables.com/model/209077 v3 by me, remix of Bounet's design, not published v4 by me, clean sheet redesign, parametric and modular including all improvements to date
