Are you building a nice big Multiboard wall? Great! Cool idea! Boy, making sure it's absolutely level is kind of a pain, isn't it? And if your first panel isn't level, well, it's just going to look bad once you make it big. I made a level-holder to make it easier! Here is what I recommend. Insert a bubble level of your choice.Run a rubber band through one of the holes at the top, tied against itself (see photo).Hold the level in place by wrapping the rubber band around one of the bottom T's.Insert the entire thing in your Multiboard.Now you can easily level your Multiboard panel while installing it!I recommend anchoring one corner before doing this - it's a lot easier to level it if you're just controlling rotation. I also recommend coming up with one way to temporarily hold it in place (tape?) while marking the drill holes, which I did not do, which is why mine isn't quite level in the photo. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES If you use beefy enough rubber bands and a reasonably light level, it'll happily hold a level vertically, if that works well for you. Once you've set up one panel perfectly you can extend it with an alignment jig. Be weird if I had one of those too, wouldn't it? Sure would be! The only caveat is that this requires an 8-wide mount. Perfect for 8x8 boards! Less perfect for other boards. Maybe it should have a peg in each spot? I dunno. You're welcome to remix it, if you're into that!
