Update: new option for an infinitely adjustable moving jaw added! no need for the series of holes. The version included only works with a nominal 1x3" (actual dimensions 0.75inx2.5in- 19mmx60mm) Model files for this jaw are included in the folder “MovingJaw-infinite”. here I've included a .3mf file so you can optionally load all the print settings I used, as well as a .step file for anyone who wishes to modify the model. Here's a video showing this version: Update 2: a grippy textured version of the foot for the above infinitely adjustable clamp has been added, this works well using a softwood bar, as yet untested with hardwood. Update3: I've added a model for a foot to fit the board and keep it upright. There is a tall version for the infinitely adjustable clamp, and a shorter version for the rest. This is a 3d printable sash clamp. Long clamps are expensive, this is a low cost alternative, the length is limited only by the length of the wood board used as the bar. The width of the board to use is 3/4" or 19mm. This clamp uses an optional 1/2" bolt and to provide a reinforced spine for the screw (length 142mm ideally). Without reinforcement, it is plenty strong for clamping, but won't survive a drop on the floor (see the video for more info) The parts are mounted to the board using 5/16" or 8mm bolts or pins 40mm long (1-5/8"). An optional split version of the threaded jaw has been added. This is useful for printing this in filaments that don't have a high layer adhesion, since splitting the jaw allows each half to be printed laying flat on the print bed. This ensures the tensile force is perpendicular to the layer lines. This split jaw requires 4 M5 bolts, two 12mm and two 25mm. If printing in PETG this more complicated jaw isn't necessary. I tested all versions up to 270lb (120kg) of clamping force in PETG with no harm to the parts. Here's the test video: By request, I've added a version of the jaws which can be mounted to a 2x4 rather than a nominal 1" (actually ¾") thick board. These two files have 2x4 in the name, but be warned, the 2x4 version has not yet been tested.
