For the famous (and nowaday super cheap second hand) Supermicro CSE-815 1U server chassis, I designed a harddisk caddy (hard drive tray) for 3,5 SATA/SAS HDDs. I liked the idea of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2413043 , but build these on my own, by using an original HDD MCP-220-00001 drive tray and made it to be printed out fast and (nearly) without supports. There are two versions available: One without the need of the special supermicro hdd screws ( MCP-410-00006-0N ). You can just clip it on your harddrive and be good to go. And one where you can securely fix the hard drive tray to your HDD. This print should be an exchange for following supermicro hdd caddies: MCP-220-00001-01 MCP-220-00024-0B MCP-220-00075-0B 01-SC93301-XX00C104 Which means, this caddy should be compatible with following supermicro 1U server chassis: CSE-813MFTQ CSE-813MFTQC CSE-813MTQ CSE-813LT CSE-815T CSE-815TQ CSE-819TQ CSE-825TQ CSE-826A CSE-826BA CSE-836BA CSE-826BE1C CSE-826BE26 CSE-826BE16 CSE-826E16 CSE-826E1 CSE-826BE16 CSE-826BE1C CSE-826E2 CSE-826E2 CSE-826E26 CSE-828TQ CSE-836BHE16 CSE-836BE16 CSE-842XTQ CSE-846E1 CSE-846E1 CSE-847A CSE-847E1C CSE-848A CSE-848E16 Print Settings Printer Brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.20 Infill: 25 Filament: OWL Filament PLA Black Notes: Please have a look at the screenshot: For the non-screw version you probably need standard support for the little pins which slide into the harddisk. If you encounter adhesion problems with the support, try out the "tower-support", which is available with Cura 4.4.1 (and higher). They help alot and don't really slower down the print process. For the version with screws, you should get away with no supports at all. If you encounter issue, may be tree supports helps you to make nice supports for the screw holes. For Remixes: I added the fusion 360 project to make remixes easy. Future Versions: I plan to make an easy to print lock for the tray, as the original disk trays have a locking mechanism. However, this will take a bit of time, as I have other duties at the moment. Category: Computer
