Every time I loosen up the two Idler tension screws and open the MMU2s one or both of the screws and their springs would fall out. They would bounce around and play a mean game of hide and seek. So I made these little guys. Literally the smallest things I have ever 3D printed. They are small retention washers that will hold the screws in place when the MMU2 is open. They work great! I highly recommend them to everyone with an MMU2. Print instructionsThe STL file is only 0.2 mm tall. I highly recommend you use a print setting that is also .2mm for the layer thickness. I have attached the 3mf file I used to print these with all the settings I used. TPU recommended but PETG is the next best thing. (PETG) May wear out over time and need to be replaced. 0.2 layer thickness Quality Smooth PEI print bed is probably better than the powder coated for these because you want the washers to be very thin.
