Decide what must stay fixed
A bracket often has a few dimensions that cannot move: hole centres, contact faces and the clearance around a screw head. We use these as the starting brief. Mark which dimensions you measured and which are estimates so a prototype can target the uncertain areas.
A useful redesign might make a fixing easier to reach, fit around another component or change the space occupied by the bracket. Tell us which of those outcomes matters most rather than asking for a lighter shape without a reference.
Review the whole connection
Send a photo of the bracket installed, including the fasteners and what it attaches to. The surrounding assembly matters as much as the printed shape. We will discuss the material and print approach alongside the geometry, rather than choosing them from appearance alone.
A fit prototype can answer whether the holes align and the tool can reach them. It does not, by itself, establish a load rating. If your application needs calculated performance or formal approval, include that in the enquiry so the required checks can be scoped.
Questions about brackets & supports
Can you improve a bracket that keeps breaking?
We can review a redesign brief. Send photos of the failed area and explain how it is used. The appropriate change may involve the material, the fastening or the geometry, so a new outline alone is not a promised fix.
Will an AI-designed bracket always use less material?
That is a possible design goal, rather than a guaranteed outcome. Keep a reference design and agree what must be maintained so any claimed improvement can be compared on the same basis.
