Current design is applicable for CLASSEN interior door locks only. Classen doors are usually offered with several types of locks, including privacy, passage, and service (bathroom) locks. This 3D printed thumbturn hub nut is designed to be compatible with the bathroom (service) type.
Given thumbturn hub nut model is designed as a precise and functional equivalent of the original one, with a modification to the square opening dimension. The square opening, originally 4mm, has been adjusted to 6mm to accommodate different spindle sizes. The 6mm spindle is more popular and offers increased durability compared to the smaller 4mm spindle, providing a sturdier and more reliable lock mechanism.
For enhanced strength and longevity, this thumbturn hub nut could be printed with 100% infill, ensuring maximum durability and resilience under frequent use.
Important Note:
• When disassembling the door lock, be careful as there are spring-loaded components. Proper caution is advised to avoid injury or loss of small parts.
Installation Tip:
• Door lock assembly could be opened quite easyly by bending the tree plates (as shown in photo #3). • Apply a small amount of silicone grease to the spindle and hub nut during assembly to ensure smooth and effortless movement.
