Print on it's side, use the thickest layer your printer is good at.
Use a material that can take your expected ambient heat and has a bit of give. PLA is not recommended. Nylon would probably be the best but I got away with PETG though I broke the first one. (It's a 2min print, so not a big deal.)
Clip it through the gas cap retainer strap, then clip it through the hole in the gas flap.
Known to work on a 2011 Subaru Forester.
You could also bake it for more strength, it's probably not so precise a part that a little warping would impact it's functionality.
