More information

The Apidura Frame Pack Hydration Bladder currently comes with no attachment system. Existing clips by other brands are too small and provide no solution to attach to a bike.

This clip is part of a custom mount system using a magnetic snap mechanism by Fidlock:

• It stores the hose securely (magnetic releasing in one direction only) in place. • Doesn't get in the way or touch your legs. • It's easy to detach (one single direction) and re-attach (from any direction) the hose one-handed.

Properties:

• for hose diameter: 11mm • M8 thread • screw length: 4mm

The Autodesk Fusion file is available to further customize the clip and, for example, change the hose diameter.

Recommended parts/compatible with:

• Fidlock SNAP male S screw low (available at: www.extremtexil.de) which is compatible with all Fidlock S female parts such as Fidlock SNAP female S 15 adjuster H. • Apidura Frame Pack Hydration Bladder

Printing

• Print on the side for maximum strength. • Use low layer height for maximum detail on the thread.

Assembly

This printable part replaces the flat part of "Fidlock SNAP male S screw low". Just unscrew the flat part and replace it with this one. You end up with a Fidlock-compatible hose clip.

Optional Attachments

Once you got a Fidlock-compatible hose you need the female counterparts on your bike. I experimented a little with different ways of running and storing the hose. Finally, I was pretty happy with three attachments:

• one sewable part to attach directly to one of my bike bags • two velcro straps: one around the top tube and a second one around the stem

The hose does one curl, while the mouthpiece rests on the stem/handlebar. You can see the setup in the photos.

There is one additional photo showing an alternative way to run the hose, with the mouthpiece under the seat. I was not so happy with this setup, as it was harder to reach. But maybe someone else prefers that.

Velcro straps

You will need a sewing machine to combine the two velcro bands with the Fidlock part, although it should be straightforward. You can make the length depending on your needs.

Additionally, I used a bit of soft handlebar tape on the backside of the Fidlock part to keep it in place and prevent scratches on the frame.

Sewable parts

I also used one sewable female part to attach directly to one of my bike bags: https://www.extremtextil.de/snap-male-sewable-groesse-s-magnetverschluss-aufnaehbar.html
