Hardware options

My primary idea was to not use any additional hardware for the design. As a result, it works with what comes in a box with Skadis, plus some printed parts.

However, I had put more mounting points for corners and left M4 nut cutouts, for use cases where more stability is needed.

For this, use Stock hardware folder.

I've added an option to use DIN912 hex head screws coupled with M4 nuts. I haven't printed those, cause I had no need, but should work just fine.

For this, use DIN912+M4 folder.

In case of using more than one Skadis, as seen in the photos, I've included top and bottom corners for both hardware options. As well as the no hardware options for top corner, to add more stability without screwing them tightly.

Attachments

I've included the following attachments:

• 35mm_double.3mf for fitting two small bottles of up to 35mm diameter; • 55mm_Verstegen.3mf for fitting Verstegen-shaped spice containers or others of up to 55mm diameter; • Hook.3mf is a plain old hook for hanging stuff; • Box_4wide.3mf box that has inner dimensions of 120x60x50mm(WxDxH).

In addition, I've included blanks for making your own. See Remixing section.

Clips

While there are a ton of great Skadis mounts out there, they require additional hardware like T-nuts, or have a lot of parts I didn't want to assemble. I wanted to make mounts and attachments as simple as possible.

Solution I came up with is to print two supportless clips (Clip.3mf) with a supportless attachment, as depicted below. Can't say it's perfect for all the cases, yet it works here for the “print and forget” approach.

Printing guide

Everything is printed support-less, however, depending on your printer and nozzle you may need tiny supports for:

• The box model, • Rounded corners, where available

Tolerances for parts connections are 0.25mm, so it's pretty forgiving in terms of machine calibration.

Remixing

I've included the attachment base to make more attachments, if you need to. Make sure to post a remix, I'm really curious what you guys might come up with!

See Blanks folder, attachment_base.f3d or .3mf.
