Here's a remix of Triple G's detailed Mini Cooper model into a little planter pot, for some small house plants… Or bigger, I guess, if you have a bigger printer. ;D I changed the wheels, tires, and axels to be able to print them individually, on a flat side, making it much easier to print them in Multicolor. ( The Rims, for example just have a single layer of black at the right layer to make the whole inside look black ) This also affords the option to print the tires in TPU, if you reeeaaaaaly just wanted to be special.
The 3mf file should include some pre-painting done to the main body of the car. If you've got Orca or Bambu slicer, and are printing in 4 color using AMS or whatever, That may save you quite a lot of time.
I Printed the rims and axels at 0.12mm layers ( 2 of each) laying on their back, with a layer of black just under the rim pattern at the top to give them a much better appearance.
I printed the body in multicolor with the headlights included as a “part” of the model. The body was printed at 0.2mm layer height (0.12 would likely look noticeably better).
***NOTE*** The Body of the model does not have a perfectly flat bottom. I suggest dragging it JUST A HAIR under the build plate level, to create a larger, flatter area for it to print a foundation from. I angled mine slightly forward, maybe 2 degrees, and then moved it around 0.6mm below the build plate.
I printed the wheels at 0.2mm layer height, just black. Since the inside isn't visible, I drug them maybe 0.2mm below the build plate, to give a less rounded base to print from.
They tray is also printed with a 0.2mm layer height. I painted the textured part separately from the rims of the tray, in case someone wants to add a brownish or grayish color.
