More information

When doing my full disassembly teardown, and then reassembly, I found the rivets quite tough on the fingers so I've created a tool to help deal with them. This will allow you to re-use the rivets too.

Printing

• Print on it's back with the prongs facing up.

Removal

• Use the back of the tool to press on the rear of the rivet, pushing the head out. • Slider the tool fork under the rivet head and gently pull, removing the rivet. • Try to keep the pin and prongs together.

Insertion

• Slide the rivet onto the tool so the head rests on the top of the forks, and the prongs on the underside, keep the rivet open. • Place the rivet prongs though the holes to be assembled. • Slide the tool off the rivet. • Use the back of the tool to press on the head of the rivet.
