🌀 This is a fun and fast-paced mechanical game inspired by classic spinning top toys. The idea is simple: You launch a spinning top into the arena, where it strikes and scatters several 12 mm balls. The balls bounce around and eventually settle into shallow pockets or sections – each representing a score of 1 or 3 points, depending on where they land.

UPDATE: I added an updated version of the arena that makes it a bit more challenging for the balls to reach the outer pockets. Also you will get more or less points for those. I will leave both versions, as the “old" version is just easier to get points ;)

🧩 How to print:

I printed in PETG – no supports needed.

Arena can be printed at 0.3 mm layer height for faster printing. It is 20cm in diameter, so nothing for very small printers.

For a smoother center section (to reduce layer steps), use adaptive layer height and assign finer layers in the central region like 0,1.

Balls should be printed with high precision (0.1 mm layer height recommended) to roll smoothly. (I suggest to print 5 of them) print Balls with max. infill / perimeters for more weight. They consist of two halves, which can optionally be joined together with a piece of filament for better alignment. I added a drop of superglue to hold them together. The balls are not perfect, bought 12mm balls would certainly be better!

The spinning top parts are printed separately and assembled (press-fit) print the flywheel with max. infill / perimeters for more weight

🔧 Optional tips:

You can use ready-made 12 mm balls instead of printing them

For best performance, lightly sand the center of the arena to reduce friction and improve ball motion
