Workbench hold-down clamp with 20mm (19.8mm) locking bench dog

UPDATE: Revised clamp wheel added 12/06/25 to include nut recess.

You will require approximately 150mm of 6mm threaded rod and 2 x 15mm washers with 6mm holes, 2 part epoxy glue for nuts.

Printing notes: I have used Tinmorry PETG for strength printed by Bambu Lab P1P. The lever arm and the two piece locking dog (black) were printed as 80% solid with a nozzle temp of 270 degrees and a bed temp of 80 degrees. My P1P is housed inside a cabinet with glass doors to protect it from dust in the workshop, so the ambient temperature is a little higher during printing - I am not sure if this helps the PETG to print, but I have no problems. There is washer underneath both of the handwheels. The bottom locking dog, and the bottom of the upper and lower handwheels are recessed for a 6mm nut, which I glued in place with 2 part epoxy (carefully avoiding getting glue on the threads). The nut for the bottom locking dog needs to be glued in place or locked by flattenning the last few threads on the threaded rod to lock the nut in position. (I did both to be sure). The lever arm pivots on the semi-circular lever mount to hold up to 75mm pieces on the workbench. The bench dog needs to be firmly anchored using the bottom handwheel to stop the lever action pulling the dog up.
