3/4" Pipe Clamp Hook with Dovetail Hidden Screw Mount

These hooks are designed to mount 3/4" pipe clamps to the underside of a long shelf in my workshop, but it could be used for other tubes/pipes, or as a general hook. The mount can be secured using two screws and the hook mates with a notched dovetail, preventing the hook from sliding off the backside.

I printed in ASA for strength and rigidity, but PETG would work just as well for indoor use. PLA should be fine for all practical purposes, but note that it will creep under constant load.

The hook should be printed on its side and will need support for the bottom edge of the dovetail. I've included a version with designed support, as well as a version with the designed support and mouse ears to reduce warping and pulling off the bed on more warp-prone materials (like ASA).

I've tested and printed the mount both horizontally (prioritizing the strength of the screw holes) and vertically (prioritizing the strength of the dovetail) and both work well. My preference is printing vertically, but practically, there seems to be enough material and layer adhesion around the dovetail to work the other way, too. Also, the mount screw holes include a tear-drop cutout at the top for better printing when oriented vertically.

The tolerance between parts is 0.1mm, but it might need to be adjusted depending on your printer. It printed well with a good fit on my Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

I was able to squeeze six on my 256x256 build plate at a time, but due to uneven heating on the extremities of the bed and using a more warp-prone material, I opted to print four at a time.
