This is a gauge mount to fit 52mm gauges into a MK3 golf central air vent. The design replaces the existing air vent and includes a back plate to allow mounting of a variety of different gauges. The back plate has two print in place sliding reducers to allow for M3 and M4 studded gauges of varying distances to be mounted. The maximum gauge depth this design can accommodate is 30mm. The main gauge vent has been designed to mimic the original vent as closely as possible whilst being as easy as possible to print. Supports will be needed at the base of the gauge cutout (as shown in the image of the finished print above). The support placement using support enforcers is recommended and can be seen in the attached .3mf. The gauge vent also has some horizontal pieces across the back of the gauge to aid in the print reliability of the model. If desired this can be simply snipped off of the finished print.
The numbering on the parts is the part number and the month, year and version for tracking of the model changes.
The print in the images was printed using eSUN PETG and the print settings in the attached .3mf.
