Initial Layer Height: 0.2 mm (or 0.24 mm for better bed adhesion)

Walls

Wall Line Count: 2–3

Wall Thickness: 0.8 mm or 1.2 mm

Top/Bottom

Top Layers: 4–6 (PETG can be stringy—extra helps hide lines)

Bottom Layers: 3–5

Bottom Pattern: Lines or Zig Zag

Top Pattern: Lines (important for ironing)

Ironing (For smooth top surfaces)

Iron Only Highest Layer: Yes

Ironing Pattern: Zig Zag

Ironing Line Spacing: 0.1 mm

Ironing Flow: 5–10% (start at 5%, increase if not smoothing well)

Ironing Speed: 15–20 mm/s

Infill

Infill Density: 15–20% (unless more strength is needed)

Infill Pattern: Grid or Gyroid for strength, Lines for speed

Material (PETG)

Printing Temperature: 235–250°C (depends on brand; 240°C is a good default)

Build Plate Temp: 75–85°C

Enable Retraction: ✅ Yes

Retraction Distance: 4–6 mm (Bowden) or 1–2 mm (Direct Drive)

Retraction Speed: 25–40 mm/s

Speed

Print Speed: 40–50 mm/s

Wall Speed: 30 mm/s

Travel Speed: 120–150 mm/s

Initial Layer Speed: 20 mm/s for better bed adhesion

Cooling

Fan Speed: 30–50% (Too much cooling = poor layer adhesion with PETG. Start at 40%)

Build Plate Adhesion

Type: Brim (recommended for PETG)

Brim Width: 6–8 mm

✅ Extra PETG Tips

Wipe nozzle before printing to avoid blobs during ironing.

Use glue stick or a PEI sheet to help with bed adhesion (PETG sticks very well).

PETG strings easily—dry filament before use if possible.
