My Solution

This is a remix model to fit a very common economy grade Bessey clamp that is available in the United States. The Bessey clamp is GSCC and comes in common lengths 6", 12", and 24".

My goal is to make this model more widely applicable to woodworkers and cabinetmakers by changing the sizing and screw requirements. These changes do make the solution less compact, but overall more user friendly. This remix does require more filament due to these changes.

Mounting Suggestions

• use #8x 1-¼" construction screws if screwing into ¾" (18-19mm) plywood. I recommend mounting plywood to your walls for organizers to screw into. • use #8x 2-½" to 3" construction screws if screwing into stud with 5/8" drywall. • Exercise caution when screwing the part down. Use screwdriver or drill with clutch. DO NOT IMPACT

Slicer Setting Suggestions

We are holding a few clamps, so strength isn't a huge concern, the model is already quite robust. Here are my suggestions:

• 0.6mm nozzle • 0.20mm layer height • 3 or more top/bottom layers • 15% (or more) gyroid infill • printed on back face, no supports • use 5mm brim to prevent warping near corners.

Suggested Materials

If you have a small printer without an enclosure or with inconsistent bed temps:

• PLA (not as strong as PETG, but will last for a long time) • PETG (may warp, please use best practices for adhesion ie. glue stick, clean bed, stable room temp)

If you have a printer with an enclosure and consistent bed temp:

• PETG • ABS • ASA

I have initially printed the models in PLA due to its forgiving nature. I have a smaller printer without an enclosure with cold spots near the edges of the build plate. My setup is susceptible to warping on prints this size, hence why I used PLA. I do not expect the material to fail, but I don't expect it to last forever in uncontrolled climate in my garage.

Provided Models

The provided .step and .3mf files are a very basic unit that only holds 4 clamps but fits on small build plates measuring approximately 180mm x 180mm build area.

Please show the original creator a lot of support, his model is very skillfully made!
