Blanking plate adapter for MyElectronics front-removable Raspberry Pi rack mount tray

MyElectronics Raspberry Pi 19 inch 5x rack mount allows putting up to 5 RPi single board computers into your 19 inch server rack. Rack mount is made from steel and is sturdy enough to fit any home lab.

Problem is that since RPi computers are hard to get, unless you have 5 laying around already, getting 5 units might take some time and in the meantime you have a few options:

• Leave empty trays in your rack (you must be a monster to even this of doing that) • Put in compatible non RPi SBCs instead if you don't mind mixing them • Buy official blank covers from MyElectronics (unfortunately plastic) • Convert your MyElectronics RPi trays to act as blanking plates

while plastic covers look clean enough, converting trays has multiple benefits, here are a few:

• Keeping all your empty trays directly in your rack waiting for additional RPis to arrive • Keeping all mounting screws in a convenient location • Blanking plate will be partially made of steel as that is what the trays are made of • Pick any colour for the middle blank • Cheaper to make your own than official plastic ones

Printer: Creality Ender-3 V2 (heavily modded)

Filament: Creality Black PLA
