This is another design of a cable organizer for power and network cables. It has a slide-in lock to easily add and remove cables. The design is specially made for the FFF process printed with PETG or ASA filament.
How to Print the Cable Organizer
There is a Prusa Slicer example project LR2208-055 Print.3mf where all recommended settings are made. Use this, or see the table below:
Orientation:The cable organizer is printed on its side.
Nozzle Size:0.4mm, 0.6mm or 0.8mm
Layer Height:0.2mm for 0.4mm nozzle 0.3mm for 0.6mm nozzle 0.4mm for 0.8mm nozzle
Filament Materials:PETG or ASA
Perimeters:3 perimeters (important!)
Infill:0%
Prusa Slicer Profile:“0.2mm Quality”
Extra settings: • Enable “Avoid Crossing Perimeters" • Disable “Fill Gaps” (only for 0.4mm nozzle)
I do not recommend using PLA for this model. Especially for the smaller diameters (<70), the material is too stiff and brittle for the lock to work correctly. Use it at your own risk.
Dimensions
The part number and file name have the following format:
LR2208-<inner diameter>.3mf
Inner Diameter
The inner diameter of the model is specified in millimetres. The slide lock is harder to operate on smaller diameters.
How to Use the Cable Organizer
This cable organizer is designed to be screwed to a wall, ceiling or under a desk or other furniture. Use flat head wood screws 3.5mm or 4mm ones.
If you attach the organizer to a wall, make sure the lock is on top.
The sliding lock is designed to block when a small pulling force is applied to it. The grooves from the layers will interlock in this case and prevent it from sliding sideways.
