This is an enhanced version of the original NATO flashlight clamp with several key improvements for better functionality and printability
New Features:
• Filleted edges: Smooth, rounded edges on the C-clamp opening eliminate sharp corners for safer handling and improved aesthetics
• Screw-down clamp: M3 screw hole with integrated hexagonal nut trap provides secure locking to picatinny/NATO rails
• Adjustable spring arms: Independently controlled spring arm length (default 27mm) allows you to tune clamping force and flexibility
• Parametric design: Spring arms automatically adjust angle to match any flashlight diameter while maintaining proper contact at the 90° points
Customizable Parameters:
• flashlight_diameter: Adjust for your specific flashlight (default 15.8mm)
• fillet_radius: Control edge rounding (default 1.0mm)
• spring_arm_length: Tune springiness - shorter = more flexible, longer = more rigid (default 27mm)
• opening_angle: Adjust C-clamp opening (default 120°)
• All original parameters still available
Print settings
• No supports needed for most orientations
• Recommended: 3+ perimeters for strength
• Insert M3 hex nut into trap before final assembly
