Collectors line their shelves with figures of characters from their favourite shows. This puts you on the shelf with them: your face, hair and style translated into anime proportions, in an outfit and pose you choose. It works as a gift for a fan, a couple piece, or a figure of a pet drawn the same way.

Translating a face into anime

Anime style simplifies a face down to a few things: the shape and colour of the eyes, the hairline and fringe, the face shape and the expression. We pick out the features that make you recognisable and push those, so the figure reads as you even with a tiny nose and enormous eyes.

There are two common shapes. A scale figure with long legs and realistic height, like most collector figures, or a small chibi with a big head and a tiny body. Choose on the form, or send reference images and we will match them.

You see renders before anything is printed and can ask for changes. Hair is usually where most of the sculpting time goes, because in this style it is a big, sharp shape that has to look right from every side.

Size, material and finish

Size
Standard, around 15cm, or large, around 20cm, for a scale figure. Small, around 10cm, suits a chibi.
Colour
Hand painted, full colour, with the clean shading the style is known for.
Material
Resin, for sharp hair edges and fine detail in the eyes.
Base
Plain, engraved, or none.
Likeness
Stylised. The likeness comes from the hair, the eyes and the outfit rather than exact proportions.

How long it takes

The quote comes back with a lead time before you commit. If it is a gift, put the date in the form and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met. Posted tracked anywhere in New Zealand.

Can you make me look like a character from a show?

We sculpt you in an anime style and an outfit of your own choosing, not a copy of somebody else's character. Send references for the look you like and we design something original around you.

Can you do a couple or a pet in the same style?

Yes. Two figures on one base, or a pet figure in a matching style, both work well.

Is this a good gift for a fan?

Very. If it is a surprise, a few clear face photos and an idea of the style they collect are enough to start.
