Let it go, keep the fish
A replica of your catch, sculpted from your photos and its measured length, then painted to match.
Your idea, made real
The best fish of your life rarely makes it home. You release it, or you eat it, and what is left is a photo on your phone and a number nobody believes. A replica sculpted from that photo keeps it: the right shape, the right colours, at a scale that fits a shelf.
A fish held up to the camera is foreshortened, so we use the measured length and the shape of the species to correct the proportions rather than tracing the photo. The fins and the head come from the close-ups.
Colour is what makes a replica look alive. Fish lose their colour quickly out of the water, so tell us whether you want it painted as it looked in the photo or as it looked in the water.
You see renders before anything is printed and can ask for changes. It is then printed in resin, painted, and mounted on a base or given a fixing so it can hang on a wall.
The quote comes back with a lead time before you commit. If it is a gift for a birthday or Christmas, put the date in the form. Posted tracked anywhere in New Zealand.
No. Photos and a measured length are enough. That is the point: you can release it and still have it.
Our usual sizes top out at around 25cm or a little more. For a bigger fish, ask in the form and we will tell you honestly what is achievable before quoting.
Any you have good photos of. Snapper, kingfish, trout, salmon, hāpuku and marlin are all the same job: the shape from the photos and the length, the colour from the photos.
A scale replica of a European mount skull and antlers, printed from your 3D scan.
Your parrot, budgie, cockatiel or chook from photos, painted to match every feather.
A figurine of yourself from photos, in your own clothes, your work gear or your favourite outfit.
